University two days a week which is just pure school work, and then working alongside employees in the financial services technology department on actual client work from 9:30-5:30
-How to create business proposals -How to use technologies to provide solutions -How to network with people of all levels in the company
I enjoy it so much that I volunteer a lot within the workplace, advertise the apprenticeship to others and actually look forward to work days
Could be more organised in terms of dealing with many of us and putting us in teams, but after a while, the ball started rolling and now it is going smoothly
So much. They understand when we are flooded with school work and let us take on client work based on our own idea of our own abilities
A lot, mainly for the professional skills modules, could be better in terms of exam prep and the coding modules
The skills learned in uni are very transferable and I implement my knowledge every single day at work
I am an exec for the Breathe Network (gay network), but there are many other socials and groups to join
Yes
It is perfect for introducing us to the real world and I feel like I make a difference in the workplace. Everyone is friendly and not patronising at all. The opportunities are endless
Be prepared to be an important person within the workplace and really focus on networking
