  • I am a project controller for a number of contracts within the business. my day to day tasks include managing spends, risks, budget, schedule, orders, hours input etc.

  • I have developed a range of skills since starting in the company, from my communication skills, to my excel skills, to management skills etc.

  • I very much enjoy the programme as I work in a great environment on interesting project and a job responsibilities that challenge me and get me to work with a range of different people.

  • There programme is well structured and we are always kept updated on any changes occurring.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I have a number of people I can come to depending on what issue I face, whether it's placement related, private or university.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I have a number of tutors that help me with my qualifications as well as a teach that helps me develop my skills through the placements.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • My qualification go over the theory side of what I use practically in my placements and we use real life examples from our projects for our university examples, work.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • The company have a number of activities and societies you can join for example the event society, number of professional groups and network for different things. Being stem ambassador for the company, teams for different sports.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • The company looks after their employees and gives you extra aid when you need it. The environment you work in is friendly and everyone is more than happy to help and you can very mush customise your journey through the placement.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?
  • I would just trying to get work experience with BAE to see if this is the company you want to work for. Or to do work experience in the department you are considering applying to, to see if it's an area you really want to work in.
