  • I support the EMEA Management and Strategy team in reporting, analysing and coordinating the business of Aberdeen Standard Investments across the various functions in the EMEA Region by building links across the divisions and positively contributing to the business planning for the Region.

  • I now have more effective communication and influencing skills as well as increased Financial Literacy

  • I really enjoy my programme as it allows me to study and work at the same time while also applying what my learning to real life scenarios.

  • The programme is well structured and communicated with all content available and clearly articulated on Moodle.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • The programme offers lots and lots of support by Mentors, Course leaders and existing Graduate apprenticeship networks.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Robert Gordon University offers lots of online support including virtual classroom sessions as well as onsite days providing one to one support.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • My course is extremely relevant to my role and allows me to consistently apply my learning in real world scenarios solidifying my learning, this is particularly true for Finance & Project Management modules.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • at ASI we have a Young Persons Development Network that creates opportunities for out of work socialising as well as promoting in work carer development opportunities. I am also a member of the ASI touch rugby team that plays during the summer.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Great early years talent opportunities especially for school leavers and graduates. ASI has a culture of offering support and career development as well as generous compensation.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to abrdn?
  • Qualifications are important but be sure to market your soft skills and any activities/hobbies out with school/university/work.
