  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Deloitte gives you outstanding opportunities across your role and additional training. Outside of the apprenticeship training, there is a vast range of training sessions which you are encouraged to attend which will give you any knowledge and skills necessary to excel in your role. There are regularly opportunities to obtain industry recognised certifications and qualifications. I've achieved several of these during my apprenticeship which are really valuable.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Deloitte has a large apprenticeship program. There are strong internal support structures which mean that I've always got several contacts I can reach out to to discuss anything apprenticeship or career related. I have regular meetings with my coach and my people lead which gives me an opportunity to ask any questions I need. With a challenging role, it can sometimes be difficult to balance work with studying but there has always been support when I've asked for it.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Given the nature of consulting, I often find myself having multiple different managers. This gives me a range of different contacts that I can reach out to for support on different matters including client work; course materials; qualifications; career goals etc. My team are always happy to answer my 'stupid' questions and will take the time to explain things thoroughly. Managers will have 'check-ins' with me frequently to give me any feedback and help support me in my role.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • My training provider hold quarterly reviews and provide me with feedback and ensure that I'm happy in my day - to - day work. I get feedback from my coursework and classes are generally well run with interesting topics and stretching course work and exams. There is often extra support available.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • My training and qualification, in terms of content and outcomes are closely aligned with the work that I do on a day to day basis. This can often be very beneficial, as I can turn up to my work with some experience and understanding which allows me to perform well.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are regular socials and events for your team, department, apprentices, analysts etc. These often lead to a very busy few weeks before christmas! Deloitte allows you to give time each month to volunteering opportunities and social programmes. I've got a good group of friends within the firm and enjoy having a game of pool / fifa in the office after work.
