  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Working the same job as a graduate, learning the skills and getting the experience needed to become a successful management consultant. We are treated the same as everyone else, and get day release once a week for study, as part of the Chartered Manager's Degree Apprenticeship.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • A lot, the work is engaging and super flexible. So long as you're clear about what you want to do, you will be able to find someone willing to support you. In such a large & diverse firm, there is always am opportunity.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • There is a lot of support for apprentices, and this is only getting better as the scheme becomes more established each year. Often apprentices who finish the scheme are becoming involved in the operation of the scheme.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • There is occasionally 2 different priorities, between project work and study time. So long as you are clear with your employer on the time you need away from your normal work for study, you team is very supportive.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • There's a lot of support for our study. We have an allocated person we can go to with any issues, not that I have had to do this. They are super helpful when studying, and always make time for anyone who needs help.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The management degree we are studying for really helps me understand broader business. In the later years of the program, there is a big focus on business strategy and strategic thinking (which is super cool!)

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • I'm part of the Deloitte rugby team, and also support the mental health network. We do boxing classes with my project team, and there are free drinks every week with the opportunity to meet more people. Some of my best friends have come from Deloitte.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Deloitte to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Everyone here is smart and works hard so it is a great enviroment to work and study in, particularly at the beginning of your career. The apprenticeship program is great, and the other apprentices are really great people. Unlike other apprenticeships, we do the same work as uni graduates!

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Deloitte?
  • If you apply, know that we're looking for people who are smart and have done their research about the company. Understand the work that we do, and don't try to put on a persona in the interview. If you're the right match for us, you're in!
