During the business professional apprenticeship program we have the chance to rotate around 4 seats over 18 months including, finance, project management, HR/people team and marketing. During marketing which is my current seat, day to day tasks involve helping to plan, and attending corporate events, working with the Business Development teams on a wide range of matters and assisting the Digital Marketing team with social media and website related tasks. During the finance seat, day to day tasks involve helping the team to produce bills accurately, working alongside our revenue controllers to understand debt management and assisting in invoice management. During the project management seat, day to day tasks involve working alongside our Project Managers to understand project methodology, taking part in project meetings and preparing project related material (for example, agendas, minutes and action plans). During the HR/people team seat, day to day tasks involve preparing HR related documentation (for example, contracts and letters), assisting the recruitment team in arranging interviews and assessment centres and helping the Learning & Development and Responsible Business teams to arrange a wide variety of events.
Yes, everyday i am learning something new and have developed a wide range of skills in the departments within marketing so far.
I am thrilled with the apprenticeship program i have enrolled onto. To have an in-depth understanding of each department, i will finish the program with a large skill set allowing me to take my career in business further.
The program is very organised and well structured.
Lots! We have weekly 1-1 with our line managers, as well as monthly meeting with a member of people team. The whole firm is supportive of the apprenticeship programs and you know you can ask anyone for support at any time.
We have regular meetings with our apprenticeship assessor over the phone and in person, and they are always available to contact via email.
Fairly well, not all content is relevant but what is, is useful.
Many, we have every sports club you can imagine, lunch time activities such as language classes, yoga and pilates and many social events within the firm and departments all year round.
