  • Civil Engineer/Technican, providing technician support to junior member of staff whilst developing engineering skills for my degree apprenticeship and EPA

  • Yes, I started the apprenticeship with very little knowledge I now have a professional qualification (EngTech)

  • A lot. I find the programme very intense yet very interesting

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It could be better. There are some areas which are a bit unclear, such as the 20% OJT.

  • My employer will offer me all the support I require. However there maybe some areas such as exam leave which could be improved

  • University provide the initial course and any other help regarding assignments/exams

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • For the job I work in the theory side of what I do doesn't often come into play as it is mostly on te job training where I learn my skills. However as I developed im sure what I learn will help

  • Ensure you know what you are applying for and are interested in this type of industry, without the interest you will find it hard to succeed and develop in the role you are in.
