I work within Customer Operations. I get the opportunity to work in different departments within this sector, this gives me exposure to many different skills and experiences. I am currently working in Quality Assurance. This involves me checking colleagues work to ensure it is up to our company standards and expectations .
I have had the opportunity to develop my presentation / public speaking skills. I have done several presentations in front of a wide range of audiences, from students, to managers. There are many other skills I have developed on, such as time keeping, organisation and team work. I am very thankful as these skills can be easily transferred to other work roles
I do quite enjoy the programme. Finance was one of the subjects I studied at school and was something I wanted my career to involve. So having the opportunity to work for such a big name like Volkswagen Financial Services, is a great way for me to start my career
Volkswagen are organised and structured well, however, we was originally partnered with 3AAA. A year into my apprenticeship, this apprenticeship provider liquidated. No one really knew what we was doing, or what was going to happen and due to this, this placed our apprenticeship programme on hold for a few months
I believe I receive a good amount of support from my employer. They make sure we are given the allocated time a week to do our apprentice work. Throughout every department we are given mentors, they help us with any work we are struggling with and are a person to talk to within the company
we receive a good amount of support from our providers. Someone from FWD comes over to visit us every month to discuss our progress and current work that we have submitted. After this we then get told what work we need to complete and what work needs some improvement on
My training provider doesn't help me perform with in my role as that is something my managers and mentors would help me progress in. my training provider purely helps me try and receive my qualification, by gathering evidence at work, then comparing it to competencies and knowledge towards my apprenticeship
I am currently taking part in the Volkswagen Financial Services football team. This runs after work where people within Volkswagen would train together. We have also got a 7 a side team that has entered into a tournament. This helps networking with other people within the company and improves my team work skills
Yes
Volkswagen Financial Services is a huge name to work for. Working for a company like this will be a great way to start your career and will definitely give you the skills to be able to transfer to any department and any company. There is a wide range of opportunities that you could take
When I applied for Volkswagen Financial Services, this was my first professional interview. I researched the Volkswagen Financial Services website and looked at what their values are, I then linked these values into the questions that I was given. I would try and refrain from being on your phone during the interview day as first impressions count
