  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am in charge of the Asia and Pacific regions for chasing/analyzing data, meaning i work with a group of brokers as well as a validation team in Mumbai to collect data of insurance policies, so that this data can be turned into report packs that can then be fed back to our carriers (Insurers) for a fee.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I am always developing day to day on my skills, whether it be IT such as excel or new software programs to process and store data, communication as i know have to hold calls with various people based in Asia and Pacific, problem solving if the brokers or validation team have any queries about data entry i am responsible for assisting them in anyway possible, etc

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy my program very much as i have been given a big responsibility to look over the data of an entire region as big as Asia and Pacific, allowing me to communicate with people across seas and build relationships, as well as being given opportunities of traveling to places such as London or Mumbai to visit the other Willis teams based out in these huge cities.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My program was well structured from the get go i was introduced to the whole team as well as having arranged meetings to learn what each part of the FINMAR team does, also given the chance to sit in on meetings from my first week so that i can try and get a better understanding of everything going on.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I recieve aliot of support, constant emails from various departments across the building to make sure that i am settling in well and attending training courses so that i can keep up to standards of the company and always be at my best, as well as constant support from my fellow colleagues and apprentices.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Given a lot of support with this as the company looks to provide me with all the training that i require, as well as having more experienced colleagues all around me that are approachable allowing for me to gain information and support from them, bi monthly meetings used to catch up on what the entire team is doing, etc.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Everything that i am doing and learning on my apprenticeship helps sets me up for a strong future with the company, as it gives me the chance to constantly improve my knowledge and skills through the use of training courses and working with the more experienced employees, so that i can constantly improve and become a hard working and strong performing employee.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • there are constant emails getting sent out week to week involving social activities for not only apprentices, but all employees to come together and socialize with one another, giving the chance to meet people that you may never get to without these events, whether it be parties, sporting events, charity events, etc.

  • 9a. Would you recommend WTW to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • i would recommend Willis to others as it offers young people a great opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge in the field they wish to enter in to, offering a degree while being paid a great salary during this, the chance to meet others your age tat are also enrolled into the apprenticeships scheme, allowing for work life to also meet a social side. as well as having a constant friendly, fun and safe environment to the new employees.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to WTW?
  • Willis strive on employing the best for the job, so know the knowledge of the company as well as the field in which you are applying for. They enjoy those that are hard working and willing to support co workers helping the company in a whole. Be prepared to learn a lot and work hard, if you set yourself the goal to constantly improve, you will fit in well.
