  • 1. Please give an overview of what your work experience involved:
  • Whilst on my work experience with MAG, I had been given a very good insight of how the company started and some of its history which was very interesting. I also got an intake of lots of information of what the company stands for and it’s core values. On my first day I got a tour of the entire airport which was cool and also shown the electrical system which runs the whole airport with Asset engineering team. On my second day I was with them again but this time I was shown the water system and how far the airport stretches out which was brilliant. I also went to look at some transformers that provide electricity to the whole airport. On my third day I was with the engineering operations team who gave me a runway tour and explained some of the codes when crossing runways to make sure the runway is clear. On my fourth day, I was with the electrical engineers and went looking at some X-Ray machines to look for some hotspots, which are areas giving out too much radiation. And on my final day I was shown the journey of someone’s belongings in the baggage system and had an evaluation meeting at the end of the day. Overall brilliant experience would recommend anyone to try it out as you learn a lot of information, for me it helped with some work on college.

  • On my very first day I was explained loads about the company and what it stood for, their core values and future endeavours.
