Hard challenging work in all weather conditions, risking all to safeguard life and property.
Have been trained and qualified in multiple qualifications
I enjoy work as it is challenging
On paper is structured very well however in practice it’s mildly unorganised
They put us through relative training to make sure we are competent and there is lots of helplines and things to support you.
Very good training is one of the highlights of the programme.
It makes sure we are competent in our job however training does seem rushed sometimes
Not any that are even mildly advertised and cuts have been made to reduce such things
Yes
Yes however to make sure they know what they’re getting themselves into because it can often seem misleading and uncertain
Be careful and write down pros and cons as it may not suit everyone
