  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role is a apprenticeship so my aim is to hopefully become a team leader so on a day-to-day basis my aim is to learn as much as i can and get involved as much as i can, my aim is to help the team leader out.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes I've learnt some new skills that when i saw when i first came on here i thought i would never be able to learn, i still struggle sometimes as i'm a slow learner but i try my best and that's all i can do.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy it to quite a high extent but some days are worse than others if i feel like i'm struggling or just generally having a bad day but everyone has bad days, most days go quite well though and i enjoy it.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Its very organised, they always know what everyone is doing and they know how to help anyone if they are struggling, overall they are very organised which makes it a lot easier for me when you know they are organised.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Whenever i know there is something o my mind i always ask for help on what i should do and they are always very helpful.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Whenever i need the help i always get the help but i don't see my training provider that much so its hard to receive support but i can ring the training provider when im struggling or need help with something.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • It does help as i when i see it being done in the training center it gives me a lot of a better understanding of it when i see it again on site.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There is no sports clubs at work but outside of work i love playing football but sadly two years ago i dislocated my knee so i haven't played for a team since but my knee does feel a lot stronger and better now so i'm ready to play football again.

  • Yes

  • It's a great opportunity and a great career in life where you can learn a great trade, its a good company to stay to work for as you can learn so much and get great experience that you wold of never had before.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Cadent Gas?
  • Don't be nervous when you have assessment days, try to stay calm and relax because i used to get very nervous and anxious on assessment days but that will never help, if you stay calm and relaxed you are likely to do well.
