My role on a day to day basis consists of multiple different tasks and jobs. The main focus of my role is attending and dealing safely and effectively with gas escapes, whether they be internal or external or CO related. We also deal with meter work, non emergency work etc.
I have successfully learned how to deal with gas escapes and other job specific tasks whilst also continuing to develop existing skills such as communication, listening, co-ordination, and many more. I believe I have developed well as an FCO and the skills I have learnt/developed have been invaluable to my progress.
All throughout my programme I have thoroughly enjoyed my time, it has been very challenging whilst also maintaining a high level of enjoyment. The progression I have made has been very noticeable and I would recommend this programme to anyone and everyone, it has been very enjoyable from start to finish.
The programme has been very well structured from the get go, we have received continuous regular updates of any changes to our plans. The courses and hotel bookings are put in place in good time and any changes are sent to us with plenty of notice. The programme is overall very well structured.
Throughout the duration of my apprenticeship I have received plenty of support from my employer, any help that I have needed has been given sufficiently, I have had tremendous coaches, mentors, managers & assessors who have gave me any extra assistance I have required and supported me continually during the programme.
Whilst working towards my qualification on this programme I have received continued, more than sufficient support from my training provider which has helped me to effectively and successfully work towards my final qualifications. I have been very happy with the amount of support offered to me throughout the entire programme.
I feel that my qualification (through my training provider) has helped me extremely well to perform better in my role as a component Emergency First Call Operative. The skills I have learned have been invaluable and only possible through the help I have received from my training provider during the programme.
There are many different extra curricular activities to get involved in within my workplace, there are meals that are put in place around festive periods, team building activities to get involved in also, such as, footgolf, networking events with other businesses etc. There are plenty of extra curricular activities on offer.
Yes
I have found that working for Cadent Gas has been both a pleasure and a huge opportunity, I have worked hard for my job and to pass the assessments throughout but the final job role is worthwhile and a fantastic job to have. I would advise my friends, especially around my age, that working for Cadent Gas is a tremendous opportunity.
I would advise others that working for Cadent Gas is a fantastic opportunity and one that you would not regret, their are many job opportunities and different branches/avenues to branch out to within the company, the support and help on offer is always available, I have very much enjoyed my experience with Cadent and going forward with them.
