  • I serve customers in a pub by taking food orders out to there tables also i prepare deserts an also take thm to the tables i also pour drinks for customers an clean down what areas i work in as i go an make coffees an teas also when neededan chat to the regulars when they come in to visit us

  • I have just developed existing skills an mayb made them slightly better with gaining more confidence with customers an chatting to thm making thm feel like there welcome around the staff wen they come to visit us for either food or drink an mayb they will ave gud feedback to go bak to there friends with

  • I get to learn maybe new skills involved in the course how to do things an make things better also i enjoy meeting up with my trainer wen it is required i enjoy also doing courses online learning new things about the company an what the history about it is

  • I dont think it is structured very well as when you do the virtual classrooms they sometimes have problems with the sound or loss of connection maybe there can be a way of changing that to maybe something better something that is more reliable to us an easy to use.

  • I have been asked a few times how i am getting on with my course i am on i always say that im doing well an my mentor also says that too that i am doing well with moving forward to completing this course of food an beverage level 2

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • when i am in need of any help i can message or ring her wen possible to sort my problems out that i am having an she answers them as quickly as she possibly can an when she can she gives me the answers i need with more if needed

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel very confident in my role as a bar staff team member this course has helped me with gaining more confidence in talking to people my trainer watched me serve a couple of customers as a little observation and she commented saying during that time of serving she was very impressed with the way i served them in a polite manner.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • no there isnt any extra activities at my workplace that take place at any time the only things that go on at my workplace is for either sports events on tv also advertising for the season ticket to promote that we wear a t shirt to promote it by saying they get a free pint when sign up as a welcome present

  • They are a real family company to come an work for an also the brands that are involved which are quite a few us as staff get a discount for working for them an also we get a family an friends advantage too so they get discount in any of our family pubs.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Greene King?
  • they offer as i mentioned above they offer really good discounts to you and your friends and family they offer flexibility with working hours for example if you have children of school age and need getting to an from school via the parent they can provide that flexibility for you.
