Taking care of the team. Providing an excellent customer service. Being a DGM when the GM is not present. Counting the money in the tills and the safe. Being DPS when needed. Taking care of the stock and the beer cellar. Taking deliveries in. Cleaning the bar and the floor.
Yes. I have learnt how to manage a team and a good teamwork. How to make a team brief meeting. How to properly take care of the different types of beer. Also I have learnt about the different laws in UK about the health and safety and the drinking licenses.
I enjoy the programmer as much as it’s possible. I’m working almost every day but I always find a time and place to do my meeting and my homework. I study home most of the time and on the meeting we double check whatever I learned at home.
In the beginning it was a bit shaky. They changed my teacher 2 times after the first one just disappeared. After that I need have enough support for my English and Math but I manage somehow to take my certifications. Overall I was happy with my teacher who stayed until the end and was very helpful.
I changed few managers over the course but my last one was very supportive and helpful with everything I asked. I’m thankful that I was assigned to this course because it helped me a lot in my job and my company didn’t ask for anything back, just being my best at work.
I received all the support I needed from my tutor. She helped me with all of the units over the year and at the end she helped me a lot with my final project. Thanks to her I passed all of the assignments that were to end the year at the course.
I feel like this qualification will help me a lot to achieve more than I ever wanted. I’m doing my 3rd level this year and thanks to this programme I can learn about being a manager and supporting my team and my pub. It helps me to perform better at work.
Unfortunately for now we don’t have any extracurricular activities at work. But we’re trying to come up with something that will be helpful to the team to do better at work and better teamwork. Also we’re trying to push thing forward to having some events at the pub which is gonna help for the profit.
Yes
I would recommend GreeneKing to a friend because it’s good company to start your career in the hospitality industry. They offer a lot of professional progress to people who wants to be better at work. This is not another pub company, it’s a big family and friends with big hearts.
Just be yourself. Don’t be scared to try new things. Life is too short to be scared. Go and meet new people. Experience everything you can. Don’t be shy. Be brave. Enjoy your life and work balance. Make friends. Make family. Be the best version you can be.
