when i go to work i have a look about the fridges and take anything that needs to be taken out for the day , and then i prep any food that need to be done for the day or the next day . also check if there are and pre orders that i need to prep for
I have learnt how to use the correct potions for dishes so the stock is correct . I have learnt how to correctly store food in a kitchen with the correct labels. my knife skill while i have been working there have improved a lot because of me doing it all the time .
i enjoy my program as a whole i work with really nice people who get along with each other well and this makes the work environment a lot easier. I enjoy making and preparing food for service . in a whole i just really enjoy working there with the people i do
my programme is constructed very well i always have contact with my regional trainer and my meeting are always organised very well and if there are any problems then they are fixed . the structure of the programme is very good because we have a week planner so we always know what we are talking about
i receive a lot of support from my employer she is always asking me do i need help with my training and if i do she makes it happen for me . for example i need to do FOH shifts so she is organising me to come out of the kitchen and do FOH
I get a lot support from my trainer when working toward my qualifications, if i ever need to contact her i can just give her a text and she will help me . i get phone calls from her asking me how i am doing on my current test that i have been set
i dont really think it helps me perform better because the job is so physical and the training is a lot more mental , but i feel you learn more about the kitchen actually being in there rather then sitting down and learning about it . but thats just me personally could be different for others
in my job role we do not do anything extra curricular activities other then a cook off and this is when we get a new menu and we show it off the the front of house. we do go out together and go for some food and drink thought which is nice .
Yes
Its a good company to work for , and there are lots of benefits to wroking there for example 50% off food for staff and 33% off other greeneking pubs , also a great pay for appreciates but one bad thing is that you dont really get your weekends off which i dont like but im not bothered now
when applying for greene king its a good job to go for because there are a lot of benefits to the job but always a lot of social interaction with work colleagues, but i think if you have had experience in food because then you will be a higher candidate for them to chose
