  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I work on the social media team for BBC Sport Wales and Scrum V. I creating content (image & video) to publish on many different platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. The aim is to promote the work we do on social media to longer audiences.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I've learnt may need skills, such as using a MacBook and learning Final Cut. I've also learnt how to tweet and help run social media accounts.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy the office environment, the challenging work and contributing to the department.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • For the most part it's very organised and structured, but there can be lacking in communication, within the BBC and the learning provider Sgil Cymru.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • A lot, The BBC are very supportive with many different issues, from work related issues to personal issues.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • There is support, but it's not the best, the learning provider can be a negative place to go and work. The one-to-one meetings are good and you are free to bring up any issues.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The qualification doesn't really impact my job or help me perform it better, but it has taught me a few things that can be useful in the job in the future.

  • Yeahs there are many chances to do activities to get involved in. The BBC are very good at these things.

  • Because it's a great place to work, with talented people and they look after you and want you to succeed.

  • Be yourself and don't be afraid to show your passion!
