  • To ensure that the work place continues to run smoothly and efficiently in order to then keep the production going, and keep products being distributed. This is vital in order for the company to keep making money and not go out of nosiness, which could result in loss of jobs

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt many new skills in the engineering environment as well as continuing to develop other attributes such as communication and team working skills, this is vital in the engineering world due to the need to work in teams to overcome problems that come up. It has also helped outside of work due to my hobby of working with cars

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The programme has been brilliant as I have met a lot of new people along the way which has made my programme more enjoyable as it meant going to work and college has been better due to having good relationships with people both her at work as well as college

  • My programme is organised and structured very well in order for me to achieve the best I possibly can. both college and work have given me a detailed and extensive plan in order to develop my skills as an engineer and to continue to move up within the engineering world

  • My employer has been very supportive of apprenticeship such as providing tools required for the job as well as equipment such as a laptop In order to aid with college work. Furthermore, they have given me time to complete work for college during work time to ensure I have the best opportunities for both college and at work

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • My college has been very supportive in ensuring that all of my work is up to date and to the highest standards to keep developing and gaining the best grades possible. They have regular check ups to ensure that I am keeping up to date and understand any work given

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • My program has been very bene3ficial in the workplace due to all of the skills i learnt at college can then be transferred into the workplace to complete my job role. The theory side has also been very useful such as electrical formulas being used such as ohms law and trigonometry

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • I am involved in playing football with work, which is organised by one of the employees, this then means i meet new people who work in other areas of the company that i otherwise wouldn't have met. this means i am gaining experience playing with other people can lead to better teamwork to then be used at work

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • They have provided me with all stepping stones required to continue to develop in the engineering world. this is vital for the future as this is a job for life and there is a desperate need for engineers as well as skilled people in general throughout Great Britain, and the rest of the world


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Marston's?
  • If you are applying for an engineering role, an interest in engineering is very useful as it means you are doing a job you enjoy while continuing to develop into a better engineer. It is also good to have some basic skills within engineering as this will be very useful both in training and at work
