I current am responsible for managing access levels on manufacturing equipment, this has included documenting existing access levels then remediating where necessary and documenting remediation. to comply with regulations occasionally the equipment will need minor modifications to its validated state, this Is usual achieved through a change control, documented and managed by myself.
Before undertaking my apprenticeship I had a level 3 BTEC in engineering. the first two years of my apprenticeship were spent undertaking another level three qualification with additional applied units. I am now taking a level 4 HNC course supplementary to the requirements of my level 3 apprenticeship. I have developed my professional vocabulary greatly.
I thoroughly enjoy Working alongside senior professionals with decades of combined experience in the field, constantly keen to impart knowledge and wisdom where possible, I have personally found the trust is easy to gain and responsibilities assigned accordingly without prejudice based on my role as an apprentice. The relaxed yet professional atmosphere ensures that each day is fulfilling.
There have been several discrepancies in the structure of my program, initially the program was supposed to be as it is now, however issues with training providers during the mid year of my apprenticeship meant that a new provider had to be located for the second year of the apprenticeship, this took longer than expected and was largely my responsibility to secure.
More than enough, My employer and manager especially are thoroughly helpful in every element of my apprenticeship, from extra training to daily life. The general mentality is that the only stupid questions are the ones that aren't asked, this mentality has proved essential in the learning experience that an apprenticeship serves.
Minimal,
The knowledge I am/ have acquired essentially is as the backbone to performing my role, whilst some elements could be completed without the training courses and education I have received, I doubt they would have been completed to the same level. I have also undertaken qualifications that are supplementary to my job role such as first aid qualification, I feel these have made me a more rounded individual.
The Apprentice network has regular social events, such as meals and for example a trip to a theme park
Yes
The atmosphere is brilliant, there are so many opportunities for development here, I have personally been on two outward bounds courses, once as a team member and again in a supervisory capacity. Each has taught me different professional qualities that I like to think I use on a daily basis. the Apprentice network in general is great, providing a greater network of colleagues,
Research the Role in question, prepare for the interview well, learn some information about Pfizer and what the specific department actually does.
