  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Project creation and management to ensure compliance, this involves sending contracts, validating expenses, making payments, ensuring we follow both internal and external policies, ensuring the amount we pay is not too high. But there is also opportunity to go elsewhere in the business and get an Idea of what goes on.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Overall I think that I have developed many of my skills and learnt new ones along the way, these skills include IT skills such as Excel, PowerPoint and also Internal Systems used, Verbal communication/People Skills, Organisation & Time Management and many more beyond these skills that I have specified here.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The Work based side I am enjoying as new challenges arise every day and I am always learning however some of the work that I am taught and that I complete to go towards the apprenticeship qualification can get tedious/repetitive of things I already know, but I wouldn't say that it detracts from my overall enjoyment.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • At the start I felt that there was little planning toward a defined job role, however now. 6 months down the line I feel there is a great deal of organisation and I know what is expected of me every day and also know how to achieve this by carrying out daily tasks.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I believe that I receive a great deal of support from Pfizer and I know what resources ae available to call upon if I need to. As well as this everyone is very friendly and I believe that they are very helpful and do not mind when you ask questions or for help in general.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I think I receive a satisfactory amount of support as it is there should I need it, However with it being a very much self study focused course I feel as though most of the focus is on you to develop yourself and learn in order to progress with your qualification - which is what I would expect.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I have not so far had any instances in which my work toward the qualification has come in useful in my day to day, however this may change. I believe the main reason for this is because the key assessment areas are very broad and also qualities which most people already have

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes, there are many things to get involved with, including a 5-a-side football team and just general socials to help build team cohesion. These clubs are an excellent opportunity to network and get your name out there, mixing with those who have a great deal of experience can benefit your personal development greatly.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Pfizer to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • I would recommend Pfizer as it is a great place to work where you are looked after well by everyone you meet, and there is a huge opportunity for progression at such a big company. As well as this the support you receive and willingness of others to assist you is a great environment to work in.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Pfizer?
  • The main advice that I would give is mainly the same for all interviews relax, be friendly and show why you would fit the specific role - do research on the role and what Pfizer do. Prepare and come ready with examples of how you show favourable qualities and make sure you give lengthy but concise answers don't be snappy and not expand on your answer, but equally don't waffle.
