  • 1. Please give an overview of what your work experience involved:
  • Was really informative on the options available at Deloitte and paths to take within Deloitte. We did various team building exercises which helped us grow as people and as a team getting to know each other. There was also a push for presenting to make sure we are confident in public speaking.

  • 2. What training and skills development did you learn from your work experience?
  • Doing team building exercises helped, working on cv and being confident in interviews. Presenting was ideal as we learnt how to project our voices how to be a likeable character to other peers. Learning about what pushes us as people and how to pursue those ideas and what job is ideal for us.

  • 3. To what extent did you enjoy your work experience?
  • I enjoyed it meeting new people and working with them in different things, coming out and presenting and working on what Deloitte has to offer. The networking was great seeing the different paths people went down e.g. university or apprenticeship and seeing where they’re ended up after finishing their individual courses.

  • 4. How well organised was your work experience?
  • Really well organised with the times, place and the staff we worked with they made it really clear to us what was going on and made it welcoming. We never over ran in time so we were all ready to leave on time to catch transport. Also organised lunch for us which was nice.

  • 5. How much did you learn about the company culture and what it would be like to work there?
  • I learnt a lot about Deloitte and how the company works, it’s morals, the different career paths I can take and what’s best for me. Also learnt different entry levels possible e.g. university and apprenticeship and what each option enrolls like getting paid while getting a degree or getting a degree before and coming straight into Deloitte.

  • 6. How much did your work experience help you in deciding on your future career path?
  • It helped me decide that an apprenticeship works the best getting paid as well as getting a degree. Also the entry levels and pay that I would receive while working for Deloitte. It also helped me look at what I would want to do in Deloitte e.g. consultancy or audit.

  • 7. Were you paid or reimbursed for this experience?
  • Yes they reimbursed my transport to the work place, and my travel down to London I travelled further than most people. We weren’t paid to go to the event but wasn’t needed as it was a learning experience. They paid for our lunch and provided us with drinks which was nice.

  • 8. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees?
  • Yeah we had a networking lunch with several colleagues and learnt from all them and spoke with a partner who told us about his work and we got to ask him questions. They gave us an in depth analysis into how they got to where they are and how they got there.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • It’s a very good company with great potential to anyone who goes They have great opportunities too there are multiple outlets within the company. The qualifications you would get are top quality if you choose to leave you could move onto a big job at the level of Deloitte


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Deloitte?
  • Work hard to get into Deloitte and write out a good application to showcase your best attributes so they know what you’re about. If given an interview we confident and make sure you are a likeable character. There is a lot of competition so need to make sure you have a thing about you that makes you stand out.
