  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • At my time during IBM, I have expanded on a whole variety of skills. First of all, I have grown on a wide range of technical skills, which include: DB2, Perl, Shell, Unix and AIX. These technical skills are required as part of my daily job role within IBM, and these will also give me good basis to build upon should I wish to change roles. I have also taken a number of training courses during the past year. This included Foundation Skills in a Project Environment, which was building on our presentation skills to a variety of clients. I will also have opportunity, thanks to the IBM Apprenticeship scheme to go on a Foundation ITIL Course, which will give me the skills I need to further develop my business understanding of IT and potentially aid me in my job/future jobs.

  • Although busy at times, I enjoy doing the work thats been set for me as I find it both challenging and interesting at the same time. As i had previous work experience within this sector I already had a good feeling of what a work and team atmopshere was like within an IT company, and this was exactly the same.
