  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role is at Lloyds Banking Group is a data analyst. I work with a certain IBM ETL tool called Datastage. Day to day I am require to do Performance and capacity analysis which is basically looking at the request that come through for a CPU uplift and ahttps://www.ratemyapprenticeship.co.uk/rate-your-apprenticeship/37490/stage-2#nalysing whether there is space for that uplift and if there is how much are we going to charge them. To help me do this analysis I use an programme called teamquest.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have defiantly learnt new skills, especially analytical skills. These skills have helped me complete the job I need to do at work a lot more easier. I have been given the chance to attend many course and away days with the team to enable me to gain new skills and polish up on existing skills

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy the programme as I feel the support is always there. If you have any problems there is always someone to go to. I have a buddy, mentor or line manager that I can speak to. The work I do is very interesting and there always something new to get involved in everyday

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Lloyds Banking Group?
  • I feel really appreciated at Lloyds as I feel the team trust me to complete important tasks. In addition to this when any tasks are completed I get recognition for the work I've done which is always a great. My Job role is also very important to the business, which is great

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The structure is ok, but there is room for improvement. The induction was very good as we managed to meet all the degree apprentices and I felt it was really good ice breaker. I feel like I need more time to study as the degree is quite challenging and to also balance it with work is challenging.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • I receive good support from my training provider as they are always there If Ii need any help. We also have three meetings a year with my employee liaison tutor who mas sure everything is going well at university. There is also extra support sessions if anyone at university needs it.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive a lot of support from my employer, I have my line manager, mentor and buddy who support me whenever I need help. I feel they are always happy to help as well and are very useful when it comes to the advice they give me. I have regular meetings to ensure I know what I am doing

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • My salary meets my cost very well I believe, I am able to pay rent and purchase all my essentials comfortably. In addition to this I will still have a bit of money left over to spend on whatever I want or save it if I want to. Location is good for wage

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • There are many opportunities outside work, we have a volunteering page on our intranet which allows you to browse for opportunities to get involved in volunteering. We also mandatory for one day in the year where you will get a day off work to go and volunteer which is a fun day.

  • Yes

  • I would recommend Lloyds Banking group to a friend because I feel it is a great place to work and there are a lot of opportunities and support. Working with LLoyds Bank will make you feel valued and help you to understand your contribution is relevant. There is also flexible working which is good


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Lloyds Banking Group?
  • It is important to research the business and especially to take a look at our core value as this is very important to anyone who is going to interview you. It is also essential to be yourself and be the best version of you on that day as this will help you a lot.
