  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • on a day to day basis i tend to do various jobs given to me by my manager. i change placements and jobs every few months and i really enjoy this however it can be difficult.

  • yes lots of new computer skills and learnt more about the company.

  • i really enjoy my programme, everyone is lovely and i am well looked after.

  • very valued, i am always asked how i am and if i feel comfortable in my job role etc.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • very structures. there is a process in place for my job roles and placements so this is really good and we are told these at the start of the year.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • i get a lot of support from both my manager and also from my apprenticeship trainer as well on a weekly basis.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • college is ok, we get some help and it's good for improving our skills and such, it could be improved with giving us feedback however overall pretty good.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • my salary is quite low hoever i knew it would be as the national minimum apprenticeship salary is low. I think the costs cover what i need per month, i still live at home so it's not much of a problem.

  • some opportunities in the local area. we have chance to visit different sites and move into different areas of our work too.

  • Yes

  • i've enjoyed my apprenticeship a lot and would certainly recommend it to someone else.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?
  • try to apply knowledge you find out about the company in the interviewing stages. be yourself and be friendly and kind.
