1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Audit Associate Working within a team, to ensure that the customers accounts are true and fair. Aiding the more junior members of staff to understand the testing Planning and helping management with administrative tasks which will aid the audit engagement

2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I am training to become a qualified chartered accountant (ACA) Currently, i hold a level 4 apprenticeship in accounting We also have varied training courses and online courses to ensure our knowledge and capabilities are maintained at a high level

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy being able to get fully immersed in a clients accounts, and advise them on how their procedures could be improved. The culture is that we are all one team, so you never feel like you are alone and there is always someone to help as nobody knows everything

4. How valued do you feel by Deloitte?

I do, if you do exceptional work then it is reflected in your feedback, which is then taken into consideration at the yearly performance review

5. How well organised/structured is your programme?

There is a large team of scheduling and exam managers who ensure that the process to becoming qualified is as painless as possibly by ensuring you have all the time and support you require at the various stages of the programme.

6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?

I go to college, plus additional revision sessions (both face-to-face and online lectures) which all aid the chances of me passing the ACA exams. We also have a coach who is always there to help with the day-to-day issues.

6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?

We have both a mentor and a coach, for general issues. In addition the managers whom i work with on the engagements. There is never a shortage of people to turn to for help

7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?

Considering i have no student debt, and still live at home(like most 19 year olds) then i get paid very well. The progression through the levels is also fairly fast and the pay goes up with each level.

8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?

Yes, i have attended many recruitment events to host the 'Deloitte' stand and talk to prospective employees. There are also social events on a fairly regular basis

9. Would you recommend Deloitte to a friend?

Yes

The culture is great - there is always someone there to help you and i feel valued, with many chances to progress further into my career

10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Deloitte?

Be yourself. We don't focus on the grades necessarily, it is all about whether the person is going to fit into the culture of Deloitte
