Finance and Commercial Academy Student 3 year rotational programme, taking part in various positions and roles. I am responsible for overseeing the costs and revenues of projects and managing receivables. I interact with people of varying levels, including the Finance Lead for my division. I am also responsible for cashflow forecasting for the business.
I am training to be a CIMA qualified accountant. I have also had numerous courses to improve my skills in the workplace. These trainings include Writing for Results, which helped me improve my communications to become more efficient over email. We are also trained so that we are extremely confident with Excel and all of its capabilities.
I love working for Siemens, there are so many opportunities. The teams that I have worked in have been varied and I have enjoyed them all. The company culture is exactly what I believe in: treating the company as if it were your own and striving to preserve our environment for future generations.
I feel fairly valued by Siemens. I get recognition from my managers when I have earned it and I am trusted with tasks.
I think that the whole process is well organized and structured. We are given ample support throughout our time on the scheme. We can choose a mentor should we wish to have one, this person will support us throughout our time in Siemens even after we have left the scheme.
We receive an adequate level of support but this could be improved.
I receive plenty of support from my employer, I have been helped with both business and personal problems by my managers. When it comes to relocation we receive financial support to enable us to move all over the country. There is a great HR function at Siemens with plenty of advice and knowledge on arrange of topics.
My salary and work benefits meet my costs appropriately. We receive support when we relocate to try and ensure that we aren’t out of pocket when we move to a new role. I believe that my salary is highly competitive and there is ample opportunity to increase my salary through exam passes and performance.
Each employee is encouraged to two volunteering days each year. There are company sponsored events or we can choose our own charity work. This is great for me being a Brownie group leader. I am part of a team that strives to encourage people to apply for the scheme so I get the chance to go to various career events and workshops.
Yes
I think that Siemens offers the full package to any employee. They offer competitive salaries and great benefits to go alongside this. The people who I work with are lovely and make every working day better. The opportunities when working for Siemens are literally endless and I think this is so exciting.
I think the best advice I could give when applying is to be yourself. They are looking for bubbly and social people, from what I can gather. You need determination to work for Siemens as there are so many outstanding employees it will be challenging when it comes to applying for roles.
