  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am a procurement apprentice and have taken on the role as "buyer". My roles include getting quotes from suppliers, getting funding requests approved, raising orders and amending them where needed. I also deal with Adhocs, change request forms, shortage updates and daily issues. I speak to customers and suppliers on a regular basis to maintain relationships. I have also been involved in a project to set up a tracker for my team to use so they can give customers a prompt response on forecast delivery dates.
