I am a BBC Drama AD/Production Apprentice. I work as a runner on the floor and the production office.
I have developed my communication skills.
I enjoy it, however I feel there could be better communication between the training provider and the employer. I also feel we are not always getting trained during our placements merely working for a low wage doing dogsbody work. I think there needs to be more of a balance.
It varies, sometimes I feel valued and other times I feel apprentices are seen as an inconvenience.
There programme is not structured in any way.
Average, could be better.
Average, could be better.
It is manageable. But I do double the hours of my fellow apprentices and get the same wage, which seems unfair.
I was offered a further opportunity but it was blocked by the BBC.
Yes
Overall, I enjoy it but I would warn them that it is by no means perfect.
Endure it and it'll be worth it in the end.
