I mostly follow the runners around, conducting basic office tasks as well as work on my college work.
I have embarked on several internal courses dealing with safeguarding, I have furthered my knowledge of the television industry as well as being able to how many different roles there are on a production team and how the roles complement each other.
The team and the people that I work with are lovely and have made my experience as enjoyable as possible, whilst getting as many opportunities as possible. The workload is enjoyable and manageable meaning that I can complete it to the best of my ability.
I am feeling very valued at the BBC, the team are very appreciate and they listen when I have any suggestions/ questions that I have about the production.
The training is very structured being every Wednesday and the college are very helpful in providing as much information in the sessions as possible to help further my media career.I have felt that the programme has lots of organisation and at no point to I feel concerned about it.
I feel like I could have more support with my training provider especially when I miss a session there is a lack of catch-up work sent to me after the session.
I feel fully supported by the management team, if I ever have a query, they respond quickly giving the best possible answer to help. They are fully supportive and I feel when I leave the apprenticeship programme they will help me find other employment.
My salary is very substantial to my job.
There are not many voluntary opportunities within the BBC apart from steward roles which aren't common at the moment as there are very little shows that hire steward positions.
Yes
It's given me so many opportunities that I wouldn't have got had I not worked at the BBC.
Be prepared for the video interviews as that is the main thing to show off when you first apply. Furthermore, during the assessment day always be wary of how you are coming across to everyone and how you can be better.
