apprentice Broadcast engineer, developing and maintaining broadcast specific technologies to ensure quality and reliability of the broadcast chain
I have been learning a whole host of new skills , through internal training courses, university and through various industry placements
the programme has been and will be very beneficial for my personal developments , it has provided me with numerous experiences i would not have had with a standard university course. this provides enjoyment for me.
I feel valued as part of my cohort and also as part of the larger BBC, placements are always welcoming and help you feel part of the team , even though for a brief time.
in general Organisation and structure is good , however sometimes things can be left a little last minute.
the university are very good at working with us and understanding the stress involve with a very high intensity course such as this.
our management team are always on hand to answer questions and help wherever possible, communication is good.
personally I feel a little short sometimes as the price of living where I am is just slightly less than London , however university fees are covered , as are meals when at uni so this balances out.
there are a number of activities going on at the bbc if you want to involve yourself.
Yes
they have provided me with a host of new experiences and one foot in the door to the world of work after university, this is very valuable.
prepare yourself following the guidance given by the BBC
