  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I started of as an L&D apprentice working in multiple areas of the business. My primary tasks involved supporting the Apprenticeship team with admin, supporting our Academy team with training and organising large events. I was also involved a lot with managing the budgets within the team. I was based in our HO in Camberley.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes, i gained a Btec Level 3 qualification in Business Administration. The apprenticeship had a wide range of different topics and units i could study, and i sat with my apprenticeship adviser and line manager to discuss what units would best suit me, and the team. I have also had the opportunity to go on other external training courses.

  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Like i said earlier, the culture at BAM is amazing, i have never felt more part of a team and valued. You are fully supported and seen as an extra team member that is given plenty of tasks to do, and given plenty of opportunities to develop yourself as a person.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAM?
  • My biggest piece of advice would be to be yourself. From application to interview you will be fully supported by an apprenticeship adviser, and given every opportunity to ask any questions you may have. You dont really need any previous experience, i joined after finishing college. Just enjoy the process.
