1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Audit involves verifying financial statements to assess whether they contain a true and fair representation of the client. I perform testing on the account lines to agree the amounts stated. I work with large teams on most of my clients and we frequently interact to ensure the audit is going according to plan.

2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Have been studying towards the ACA so have gained audit, assurance and general business skills. Have improved communication, leadership and organisational skills.

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy my job and the work I do. The company culture is fantastic as everyone is willing to help out and provide guidance/advice. The work can be challenging, which is a good thing.

I feel valued by team, who give me responsibility over certain areas of the audit.

This is a very well organised programme and it is highly structured. There is a clear support system and training is given regularly to develop my skills.

They well exceed my costs of living, travelling and socialising.

Deloitte has a vibrant culture and there is a plethora of opportunities available. This ranges from Sports to social groups and activities.

Make sure you read about the role you are applying for and take time to consider if you are suited to a demanding career at Deloitte, as the hours can be long at times.
