Student Review

I was in Malaysia working in a girls school where I was helping them study English. I would go in and help the girls set up their stationary and get ready for the school day. Once the day began we would let them continue with their maths and other subjects that they would learn in both Malay and enough and if they were struggling with anything we were there to support them. They already spoke some sort of English so it wasn't very hard but it was rewarding getting to know the little girls and know we've left them a little better than they were before

Yes a lot. I have learned patience and have valuable it is to have it. As they were young girls they were Easily frustrated when they were getting things wrong so I had to let them know that it was ok if they made mistakes. I also learnt the value of teaching

I enjoyed the programme very much as it was very rewarding. It was hot weather over there too. It was also a Muslim country so I learnt a lot about their culture whilst they were learning about mine. It was very fun and very serious at the same time so I did enjoy it a lot because it's something I can see myself doing in the future

Because I felt that I was very appreciated while I was there because they showed s lot of respect to me. The young girls learned to respect their elders so that made me feel very valued and respected. I also feel lucky that I had the opportunity to get out there and provide care and education for the girls

The they should definitely do it as it is very rewarding. It also looks god on your CV. I encourage all people to do this as the kids still need help so if more people were to get involved then they would be a lot more girls That would be a lot more educated which is good for the economy and local area
