  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am currently working as Change Management/PMO on an account in Capgemini. My daily task involve communicating with the Capgemini team and then passing this information onto clients. I also complete end of month reviews which documents how well the account is doing and also tells the client how well we are doing. As Change Management I am responsible for making sure changes to a clients system is completed by a certain date and to a good standard. I will lease with the Capgemini team to get an estimation sent out to the clients and then once that work has been approved to be implemented then I will oversee the progress of the implementation.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • We have 3 lectures a week and then we have Q&A sessions with the tutors so that we can ask any questions that we need to ask in that hour which is helpful. This shows that the tutors are more than willing to support us with the programme which is positive.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • The starting salary at Capgemini is very competitive and I can happily live off the starting salary. I was able to buy a new car with my starting wage which is helpful as I do a lot of travelling to my workplace. There is also a lot of opportunity to progress in Capgemini which means you will get pay rises.

  • Capgemini put on a weekend away for all graduated and apprentices twice a year which is fantastic. We have the opportunity to interact with the other graduates that we don't see much as we are all based in different locations.

  • 9b. Why?
  • Capgemini is a fantastic company which cares about their apprentices. There is lots of opportunity to learn new skills and hard work is always appreciated which you don't always see in some company's. I am also getting paid rather than having to pay £9,000 a year for a degree.
