  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am a Business Analyst at Capgemini. I work within the development and implementation teams to work alongside the client in achieving their project end goals, while having accountability and management of the work and resources involved within the project implementation, through building a relationship with the client, producing and managing requirements

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Capgemini, enable a minimum of 5 days per employee to be focused on training and enhancing their skills. I have been able to attend the High Impact Communications Course, and complete the BCS Foundation Diploma, which has enabled me to sit the BCS Business Change, Requirements Engineering, Modeling Business Processes & Business Analysis Practice Exams, to gain nationally recognised qualifications.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy the Programme, as I am able to learn new knowledge, information and understanding from the modules and be able to adapt and implement my learning into the working environment. I like that the Programme is structured, and I attend webinars once a week at the same time consistently, which enables me to block out my calendar and time to focus on my learning.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The Programme is well structured and organised as there are set days and times webinars occurs, as well as the time spent on webinar preparation is estimated the same for all modules so I am able to consistently bock time out within my calendar without this time increasing or decreasing depending on the module.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive a range of support from my employee, providing me time to prepare for my webinars and the work I need to complete after the webinars as well as being able to block time out within my calendar to focus on writing assignments and attending on campus days, every half term. We also have a community calls within the apprenticeship Programme to provide support and guidance to the apprentices within the different stages of the Programme and those who are further along the Programme to provide support to the new joiners

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Aston University, provide triparte reviews, where we meet with our skills coach to discuss our progression within the Programme and any concerns we may have, we are able to communicate with them when needed and they provide on hands support to us

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The content and learning I receive from Aston within their modules, I have been able to consider and apply within my role to be able to improve my performance within my role to help with my career progression

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • As an apprentice I often get involved within our Social Value work such as Lego League. From Easter to the summer, a group of us work with the local schools to promote STEAM careers and are able to interact with the younger generation and enable them to understand the possibilities within a STEAM career through producing Lego models and using coding

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Capgemini has a great culture, the people make the company. Everyone is friendly, supportive and all have the same goal of working hard and supporting each other in doing so. Capgemini provide a hybrid working manner which suits people and their different situation to be able to work collaboratively and effectively as well as being a flexible working company to enable employees to work at their more productive time and provide high quality work.
