  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am a Portal Consultant and I am also learning Process Integration. My daily tasks consists of daily checks in both Portal and PI to ensure the systems are working correctly and also ensuring all aspects of Portal is working as expected. I am currently on the NHS24 project and as a Portal Consultant I am able to interact with every team on my project as they all use Portal.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Since starting Capgemini I have learnt two coding languages which are Java and SQL. I am also in charge of Portal on my project and assisting on PI. By the end of the year I will be certified on either HCI or API management.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoy my programme as the work I do is very interesting and I am very eager to learn more. My current team is great and we are all quite close and enjoy our time in work. The company itself is a great and diverse company and is a pleasure to work for. The programme has exceeded my expectations as the opportunities available for me are incredible.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Capgemini?
  • I feel very valued by everyone within Capgemini. Everyone is very interested in what I am currently doing and I am always being offered help. I have also attended events including attending universities to speak to Students about Capgemini and the different programmes that are on offer.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I believe my programme is very structured. There is a lot of training on offer for all aspects and your manager will always tell you about these opportunities that are available.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • I believe I receive a lot support as I am always been told about the training on offer and have attended "Being a compelling consultant" and plan to attend "Being a compelling consultant 2" by the end of the year. This particular session was very interesting and I believe I can use a lot of the information in my day to day life.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My manager is very supportive and I will go to him with any queries I have and he will always respond quickly with a solution or telling me someone I could contact who could help me more effectively.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • I believe my salary is very good as I have been able to afford a brand new car since joining and also have money remaining for other things such as holidays.

  • Yes! There are always events happening which they are always asking you to attend to help out or just to show support.

  • Yes

  • Capgemini is an excellent company and there are a number of different roles that could suit everyone.
