  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I work in a call centre for lloyds banking group providing general customer service. This involves assisting customers with payments, lost or stolen cards and day to day banking

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt an improved level of customer service and how to set and reach targets both independently and under managerial supervision. Also how to work individually and as part of a team.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Though I am yet to have my initial meeting under the apprenticeship I am enjoying that it will give me options to progress in the future as well as giving me a qualification in the financial industry.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Lloyds Banking Group?
  • I have had a tricky start to working here and feel I have been supported brilliantly by the company. The managers really make you feel like you make a difference in your team and any criticism is always constructive with further steps moving forward to help you improve.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The working patterns here are very organised, we all know our roles and are all notified of any changes as soon as possible. This means we all know where we stand within the company and creates an enjoyable working environment.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • As I have yet to have my first meeting with them this would be difficult to say. Though I have recieved reasonable contact from them in arranging my first meeting and getting everything up and running.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I recieve a lot of support from Lloyds banking group inside and outside of work. The company are brilliant to work for and really make you feel valued as a part of the company.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • At the moment I am only part time though when this changes I believe my salary will be more than adequate to fulfill all of my living and travel expenses.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • There are opportunities outside of work if you wanted to experience another role within the group, branch for example. I believe this is important to all colleagues as there is always an opportunity to change.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I would reccomend lloyds banking group because they make you feel valued as a colleague, they support you as best they can and give you opportunities for the future. It is a brilliant place to work.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Lloyds Banking Group?
  • I would advise people to just be themselves and not to worry if they think they cannot do the job. I didnt think I would be hired by lloyds banking group and now a year down the line I really enjoy my role here.
