  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role involves answering calls for customers on savings accounts as well as Lloyds current accounts. I am the first point of contact for customers trying to resolve all queries at first touch.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have through my customer service advisor role gained additional skills. I had applied for an additional role including becoming the best bank builder rep for savings which involves reviewing processes and ensuring we are doing everything to make our processes as simple as possible to ensure customers and colleagues are happy.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I find the apprenticeship excellent as it has got me thinking about what I want to achieve in terms of my development. I find the 121 sessions with Kate my mentor very beneficial as it allows me to identify any gaps and ask any questions.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Lloyds Banking Group?
  • I find working for Lloyds an abosulte pleasure. Lloyds have catered for my individual needs and helped me through any personal problems I have allowing me to achieve a perfect work/life balance. I do feel valued at Lloyds and have absolutely full faith in Lloyds as my employer.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I find the stucture of the programme very good indeed. It is structured in such a way involving 121 sessions with my mentor and we are notified in advance of any upcoming sessions allowing any preparations to be done well before hand.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • My training provider have enlisted a mentor for me Kate. Kate offers all the support I need helping me with any questions I have. Kate has given her email address to contact her if there are any problems or questions which she is always prompt in answering. The support Kate provides has made me think about taking the level if successful in this one.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Since starting the programme my employer and my TM Susan are always happy to support me if needed. My TM is always there for me and if I need any time off to help me with the programme she is always prepared to do so as long as business needs are met.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • My salary has no bearing on the programme. As the programme is in housed at my work place allowing me full flexibility. I think this is great for my individual needs and can't thank Kate enough as she always books sessions with me to suit my needs.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • I believe there are certainly many opportunities outside of work. But as I feel for my own personal needs at the moment I have all the support and help that is required for me to develop.

  • 9. Would you recommend Lloyds Banking Group to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Lloyds are a great employer to work for. Lloyds provide the flexibility in working hours and the help each collegue depending on the personal individual circumstance. Lloyds offer all the benefits one would need from an employer and more. So I would most certainly recommend Lloyds to all.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Lloyds Banking Group?
  • Just be yourself and honesty is a must. Working in the financial sector integrity is something that one must have to apply for a role within Lloyds.
