1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Assistant Associate. Testing of financial statements and taking on substantive testing on balances and sections. Talk to clients daily to find out more information and complete the work set. Responsible for sections set in the work plan.

2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Learnt more detail about accounting and how the daily accounts link to what we are testing and why we are testing the balances. Training has made me more confident and allowed me to interact more with people of my level and people of a higher level. My professionalism has increased and my attitude has been calmed as I am able to interact with the client effectively and efficiently

Teams are awesome. Company is great and innovative. Went well above expectations.

Feel very valued, and appreciated. A lot of time is spent making us feel welcome and ensuring we get an understanding

Very well organised baring in mind the programme is very recent and new.

Constant support from mentor, buddies and other people who are not even tasked with supporting me.

See 6a - employer offers a great amount of support through their own doing and through the use of BPP college

7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?

Salary could be increased as the living costs in Cambridge are on par, and even more than some places in London. Considering our pay package is much lower than the London package - even though we are seen as Greater London.

8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?

Yes, Deloitte run lots of activities to get involved in whether that's sport related or non-sport related.

9. Would you recommend Deloitte to a friend?

Yes

9b. Why?

They are, in my view, and not bias, the best firm for younger people to start their career. They offer the support needed to get the qualification and the skills needed to do the day to day job.

10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Deloitte?

Try your hardest and be yourself.
