  • I attend college 5 days per week, I have since September 2016 and will finish June 2018, then should start on the job work which will entail maintaining wind turbines.

  • Yes, I have leant a lot of mechanical skills and I am developing my previous knowledge on electrical.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy going to college to learn about the theory and on occasion put it into practice in the workshop. I'm looking forward to the challenge that awaits.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Siemens?
  • I feel Siemens value everyone of their employees whcich allows them to further their skills even more!

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme was well structured at the start, but due to the merger, some of the structure has changed due to unknown circumstances. I feel it will all be sorted out as the merger settles down.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • The college provides a remarkable amount of support to its students wether it be work related or not.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Our employer provides support for us however due to us being at college, we rarely require their assistance due to it being sorted out in college by the training provider.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • The salary is well suited to the work we are doing and I feel it is suffice for the employees.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • I have not yet been able to experience any outside of work oppertunities.

  • Yes

  • Siemens is a company of whom cares for their employees. They provide adequate training and support.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Siemens?
  • Be confident, be your best and show you are motivated. Get your head down and get the work done.
