  • I am on the broadcast operator scheme, so I will be working on the tech side of briadvsdting

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Everything I have done on the apprenticeship is all new to myself, from learning about I.P to how to operate a studio canera

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoy this apprenticeship, the BBC is a company I incredibly proud to work for which shows in my work I enjoy all of it for example on Friday morning I was on the media hub then in the afternoon I was on sound

  • 4. How valued do you feel by BBC?
  • I feel very valued by the BBC, they as a organisation are investing a lot of time and money in myself. If we ever have a question anyone is always happy to andwer

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The course is well structured, we did a 3 week segment in the BBC training centre working in studios to get a feel of broadcasting then it was off to college to learn how the broadcast chain works

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • Our training provider is always there if we need them, a couple of the lectures stand out for the extra mile they go

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • The BBC is massively supportive of us, I had to ask for a day off for personal reasons and the day was granted off, plus they actually took a interest in the problem and to try and solve or help with the ussye

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • You can always have more money, but I have always lived within my means so I only spend what I have got

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • There have been many opportunities outside of work for example in the first week we all got togeather in a restaurant to get to know each other, up in college every week we hire a 5 a side pitch to play on and before Christmas I was given the incredible opportunity to help out on sports personality of the year

  • 9. Would you recommend BBC to a friend?
  • Yes

  • A fantastic organisation that is well respected around the world, it is incredible diverese from the people who work there to the content the BBC produces.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BBC?
  • Be true to yourself and let your personality shine. Enjoy the assessment day. It is a brilliant experience that I throughly enjoyed
