  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am a sales advisor(apprentice). My daily tasks involve interacting with customers on the shop floor, serving on the tills and as of recently a fragrance advisor on our fragrance counter. Making sure the store is clean, tidy and the shelves are full of stock is another important task.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • As an apprentice I earned £3.30 an hour. On the 19th August 2016 our whole team stopped getting paid weekly. Our first monthly pay was the 16th September 2016. The month between these two pay days was difficult for me as I had to pay £10 a week to get the bus to work.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • There are opportunities to work in our other two stores in the town centre. For the fragrance and cosmetics team conferences often take place, this is a good opportunity to meet other people from different store and learn about all the new products and fragrances that are being released.
