  • As an Apprentice Broadcast Engineer, time will either be spent doing block learning at a university, or working in a variety of departments and companies which cover the end to end broadcast chain. This could be anything from working in technical support in TV studios to working with teams that service TV and Radio Transmitters.

  • I am working towards a BEng in Broadcast Engineering which covers many topics including Cisco Networking. There some internal courses offered, and you will learn something new on each placement.

  • The BBC Academy is a great way to enter the broadcast industry, with many entry level opportunities available.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BBC?
  • Remember, you and the competition are applying for entry level positions - whilst it's important to demonstrate your passion for the job, remember you're not expected to know everything straight away - you are going in to learn. Don't panic if you have to wait a long time to hear any news!
