  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role is working in solutions line, providing products to coorporate and commercial customers. for example customers ring us and we can set them up with BACS, bankline, cards, trade etc.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes i have learned a lot more skills, i have had to learn all of the products that we offer in solutions line, my telephone manner has got a lot better and i have also developed my people skills as i have had to work with all of my collegues to get assistance from.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I very much enjoy my programe as i have to learn a lot of new things on a daily basis, and all customers requirments are different so every day is different.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by NatWest?
  • I feel very valued by RBS as we get a lot of support and values, such as our value account, paid holiday, sick pay and when we do not feel safe etc we have a lot of help lines in order to speak to someone.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Very well organised, i am gettign training from other collegues who are specialists in the products, as well as training for my apprentiship. The learning is not so structured, we do it whenever we need assistance and help.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • I do not recieve much supportr from my training providor as my first assessor left and i then had to wait for a new one to be assigned, and all information is given to us very last minute.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • i recieve a lot of suypport from my employer, especially my manager who helps me with any assistance that i need and allows me to have the time out that i need, whenever so that i do not feel stressed.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • Very well as i am only 17 therefore i do not have to pay out for a lot, so any salary i get is my money, to spend on what i want, which is good so i do not have to rely on anybody else to give me money.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • yes there is a lot of opportunites outside of work, we can do charity work, where we can take time off to help other people during our work, and there is a lot of opportunites to progress.

  • 9. Would you recommend NatWest to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • because the support you get from rbs are very good, any help you need you have, theres help lines and support desks, and everybody is always willing to help you.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to NatWest?
  • To try there hardest in the online tests and make sure that they are well prepared for the interviews- telephone and face to face because the questions that come up need examples which can not be thought of on the spot.
