Business Technician (Logistics) Apprenticeship
BMW offers an enhanced apprenticeship in comparison to others in industry. The three year programme is designed to enable you to experience all aspects of the Logistics organisation.
Our advisors are always available to provide individual support and guidance, enabling you to customise training to suit your skills.
Alongside your NVQ Levels 2 and 3 in Business Administration, you will undertake a Foundation Degree in Business Management, which subject to your performance maybe be topped up to a full degree.
Our Logistics teams are vitally important in all areas of our business, including Programme Planning, Logistics Planning, Material Control and Logistics Operations. They are responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the Logistics Supply Chain are met and ensure we can produce our MINI’s on time and in line with customer requirements.
You will need to be enthusiastic and well-disciplined as our apprenticeship is heavily focused on attitude and behaviour. In addition, you need to exhibit initiative, be reliable and conscientious. Excellent communication skills are essential, as is the ability to think logically and to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications required for Apprenticeship:
- We require a minimum of 5 GCSE’S (or equivalent) at grade B or Grade 6 (in the new GCSE Grading Structure) or above including English, Maths, Business and ICT.
- You will also have a minimum of two AS-Levels (or equivalent) at Grade C or above.
Your career with BMW Group will be designed to meet your individual aspirations and the business needs of an internationally recognised company. You start on a business awareness programme followed by career objective training in the relevant departments.
Rate of Pay:
A competitive salary enhanced annually depending on individual progress and performance starting at circa £12,500 per annum rising to over £24,000 over the programme.
Immediate eligibility for company car scheme, plus other benefits.
37 hour working week, start and finish times will vary according to work based placements and college hours.
