Level 3 Apprenticeship

Did you know that Apprenticeships are the most direct route into the work place with 90% of apprentices staying employed with the company they were brought in by?

Yesterday, we caught up with Adam Styles, an apprentice engineer one of our client accounts

Hi Adam, can you tell me a little bit about your apprenticeship and what you’ve been up to: I started working for CBRE in 2018 and am currently doing a Level 3 Electrical Installation Course which takes 4 years. Each year working for CBRE has been a learning curve and improves my experience and confidence.

That’s amazing, do you feel you enjoy it more and have improved year on year? With every year I gain more responsibility which has forged a path for me to develop within my career and also plan for my career progression.

Fabulous, what has your team been like? My team at KPMG provide masses of support and I feel at home within the team and have a great work life balance. My Account Director has been a great role model looking at his career journey and my manager has been a fantastic support to me and I have learnt a lot from him. I also recently completed an Apprentice Challenge with some fellow apprentices and CBRE senior management which was a great exercise to break down barriers and get to know my business leaders.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years time? In 5 years time I see myself having passed my apprenticeship and continuing my journey with CBRE as a mobile engineer to build on my experience.

Amazing, why do you want to stay with CBRE? I want to stay with CBRE because I have been offered so many different opportunities and wouldn’t want to loose that. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at CBRE and hope to progress my career within the BU and my knowledge in the industry.
