  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoyed the programme and the deliverance of it. It was an easy way to learn and had lots of great materials to heighten my knowledge and skills. I believe that there could have been more support from the trainers, other than this It was enjoyable and informative.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I believe that this was a part of the programme that was an issue as I went through 3 different trainers, which was an issue with consistency and also the information that I was given. The last trainer I had was informative and helpful. Prior to this, I had two different trainers and the different styles were confusing to learn with all the the time.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I learnt many new skills and developed my knowledge in many aspects of my role. It has benefited me in my people skills, leadership skills and the day to day of my job role. I also built my confidence with parts of the role I felt I needed to develop more in.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There is little extra activities within my work, but is is not that type of organisation. There is plenty of staff that spend time together and got to events together. Within the organisation itself, there is very little events unless you are management.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Barchester to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • I have had multiple jobs, and before coming to Barchester I often felt that I wasn't enjoying my work environment or the people around me. I can say now that in my personal experience in a Barchester Home, that the friendliness, the benefits and the actual role is so inviting and makes you happy to go to work. I have not felt like this for previous employment, it is a great place to work and you feel like a part of something.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Barchester?
  • I would advise them to take the opportunities that are offered to them and to really take advantage of the personal development offered as it benefits both the company and themselves. It is a great place to work and I have been here 3 years now.
