  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role is Software engineer specifically Cloud based where i can work with Google Cloud Platform. On a day-to-day basis, i will attend meetings with my team that present their work together and plan for the week ahead and i will have one to one chats with part of the team about how my placement will be like.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I would say i very much enjoy my program so far, being with the team its very inspiring to see what my days will be like in summer and how i will manage my time to create or develop existing things and then get to share them during weekly meetings. I also like the hospitality they give me and they settled me in within minutes.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Lloyds Banking Group to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Lloyds banking group so far has been an amazing experience for me and i would want everyone i know at a young age to strive for something like this so they can start their career with a great job at hand and not to stress about employment after university

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Lloyds Banking Group?
  • I would firstly say that asking questions and wanting to gain as much knowledge as possible from your team or any other apprentices that have had the experience already because it can prepare you for what you would do once its time for your placement and it can even inspire you. I would also say not to stress about it so much and try not to be shy, be confident and presentable to instantly show off the attitude you bring to your employers and thus gives them a quick idea about what type of person you are.
