  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role is an Advanced Technical Apprentice within my team, which incorporates gaining knowledge from others in my team as well as through the use of my rotation plan which is my day to day work now. This is where I move from team to team to gather knowledge in their sector, such as Engine Quality Assurance, Quality Maintenance, Darlington Test Operations etc. This will help with my eventual job role of Technical Advisor.

  • When I started this Apprenticeship, I had very minimal engine knowledge as well as technical knowledge. Now I feel quite confident with the engine as a whole and I have gained many specific skills. I still have much more to learn through my apprenticeship too, which I am excited for.
