  • I support individuals with mental health diagnoses and learning disabilities on a day to day basis to live their lives as independently as possible.

  • The level 3 apprenticeship is helping me to develop my existing skills.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I have completed the level 2 and am now completing the level 3, both with Paragon. My tutors have been amazing and I really appreciate how they tailor their support to how I best learn. My tutor has been amazing and so supportive.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I’m enjoying the level 3 so much more as it’s done away with the off the job training log and instead put in place group video calls that help me learn the material but also from the experiences of other learners.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My management team are always happy to offer whatever support I need and recognise that I’m an independent learner who enjoys getting stuck in.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • My tutor is always available if I need to check in or need further support. She’s also happy to let me run with the work and complete it. With my ADHD it’s been an absolute blessing to have a tutor who recognises and supports the best way for me to work.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I am more confident and the continued professional development is helping me to translate that confidence to my role.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • I can access a number of training courses and am signed up for autism, learning disabilities and care plan training over the next two months.

  • Supportive management and room to progress.

  • No two days are the same, some are harder then others though it is always rewarding.
